London

Fantastic Opportunity to join a growing charity retailer
Salary £23,933 per annum plus travel expenses
35 hours per week

Our client is a well-established, growing charity retailer. They currently have an exciting opportunity to join them in the position of Retail Support Manager to support their stores across London.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing London based charity.

Responsibilities:

  • Take direct management of shops, covering holiday and sickness.
  • Assist in inspiring the team to provide a great customer and donor experience, which enables the charity o attract new supporters every day.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with efficient and commercially successful stock processing system.
  • Assist the team in the creation of original, appropriate, and commercially successful visual merchandising displays, including shop windows.
  • Support the team to maximise income from Gift Aid on donated products.
  • Maintain an empowered, well trained, motivated and engaged volunteer team with excellent levels of communication at team and individual levels.

Experience required:

  • Previous Store Manager or Assistant Manager experience within charity or retail.
  • Have the ability to engage customers through outstanding communication, questioning and listening skills.
  • KPI aware and driven.
  • Experience of working to targets in a customer focused environment.
  • Energy, drive and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Flexible to cover store opening hours and weekends.for all stores.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of a high growth, profitable operation.
  • Experience in managing a large team of volunteers, including recruitment and development, as well as excellent customer service and supporter relationship building skills.
  • Knowledge of category sales management preferable
  • An understanding of charity retail would be a distinct advantage and a passion for the charity sector.
