Recruitment HR Officer - Growing Retail Brand

Newbury, Berkshire

Salary - £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

My client is entering an exciting time of growth, with big expansion plans in place for the next 3 years. The first part of their expansion plans is for a driven HR Officer to join their central operations team in Newbury. The HR Officer will play a key role in recruiting and retaining a talented team as they continue to expand throughout the UK.

This role is a HR generalist position supporting the managers and employees in all aspects of the people strategy. You must enjoy and have strong experience with recruitment, managing a pipeline of recruitment for new & existing stores. You will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and case work for new and existing stores. This is an environment that is fast moving and ever changing, where no two days will be the same. You'll need to be flexible, energetic, organised, and personable with a 'can-do' attitude.

HR Officer - Overview:

  • Lead on the recruitment process.
  • Organising and conducting interviews.
  • Developing and improving the onboarding systems.
  • Point of contact for all stores in relation to recruitment and HR related issues.
  • Attending other stores to provide all employees with HR visibility and support.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for new and existing roles.
  • Support Store Managers with a robust Performance Review process.
  • Ensuring that all stores comply with H&S protocols.

HR Officer - Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, training, and management skills.
  • Be organised and thorough with good attention to detail.
  • Be able to motivate and engage staff.
  • Be a quick learner and be willing to develop new skills and show initiative.
  • Be confident dealing with all HR and H&S issues.
  • Be willing and able to travel to other stores for new store openings, induction training.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Have a relevant HR qualification (minimum CIPD Level 5 required)
  • Strong experience in recruitment.
  • Experience with online recruitment platforms.
  • Hold a full, clean drivers' licence.
