Merchandising Administrative Assistant
Battersea, London
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary-Circa £25,000 - £27,000
Are you highly organised with strong analytical skills and a passion for retail? We're looking for a Merchandising Administrative Assistant to join our busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced retail environment and support the merchandising function across multiple business channels.
About the Role
As a Merchandising Administrative Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting the team with stock planning, analysis, and day-to-day operations. Working closely with Merchandisers, Buyers, and Supply Chain colleagues, you'll ensure products are in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with stock planning, allocations, and distribution to stores and online channels
- Producing trading packs, reports, and ad hoc analysis on sales and stock levels
- Monitoring promotions, markdowns, and pricing updates to ensure accuracy
- Supporting communication with stores and head office teams, responding to queries efficiently
- Assisting with seasonal launches, intake meetings, and store range reviews
- Providing administrative support to the Merchandising team, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who is:
- Highly organised and detail-focused, with excellent Excel skills
- Analytical and numerate, able to spot trends and provide insight
- A strong communicator, confident in working with multiple teams
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing a varied workload
- A collaborative team player, but also capable of working independently
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong numeracy and analytical ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Reliable, accurate, and thorough in approach
