HRBP - People & Culture Development - Independent Cinema Chain.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
Contract: Full-Time, 1-year fixed term contract, with a possible extension based on performance.
Location: UK Coverage and would advantageous for the candidate to be Midlands-based with expectation to spend 4 days per fortnight at sites and/or HQ in East Midlands).


We are looking for a motivated people, culture, and HR enthusiast who we anticipate will have at least 2 years' experience in a people, culture, and HR-focused role, within a leisure, hospitality, or retail environment. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and make a significant impact to the business.
As the People & Culture Development Coordinator, your mission is to enhance the company's culture and develop the team to provide unforgettable experiences. You will work closely with the Director and the Head of HR to ensure employees are engaged, well-trained, and motivated. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment that aligns with the company values of fun, family, and unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:



Mission & Values:

  • Articulate company mission and vision for the future.
  • Clarify and promote the core values through specific programs and initiatives.
  • Define and communicate what the company offers team members, using real-life examples and success stories.


Employee Benefits, Rewards & Incentives:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive employee benefits, rewards, and incentives program, which has been partially developed.


Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Evolve recruitment processes to focus on personality and potential.
  • Overhaul job descriptions and interview processes to help unearth the stars who will create memorable experiences for customers.
  • Expand the recruitment pools with a focus on apprentices, ex-offenders, and older people.
  • Help us to create a first-class onboarding experience that delights our team members from Day One.


Training:

  • Develop training programs focused on customer service, recruitment, and handling difficult conversations.
  • Create a leadership training program for future business leaders.


Employee Engagement & Development:

  • Devise and implement imaginative engagement initiatives and events that enhance employee satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Craft and refine internal messaging across all platforms, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and reflective of company core values.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.


Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and questions, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Mediate conflicts and foster a positive work environment through proactive communication and problem-solving.

The ideal Candidate:

  • A passion for people and a strong commitment to enhancing workplace culture.
  • Proven experience in HR, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (specify any particular tools or platforms used).
  • Team focussed nature who leads by example and can rally the team to achieve common goals.
  • Ready to travel with a clean driving licence and a zest for UK-wide cinema adventures.
  • Flexible and adaptive, understanding that the best moments often happen outside the 9-5.
