Salary £41,649 - £47,538 Per Annum, Pro Rata dependant on experience plus great benefits

Hours: 30-37.5 hours per week/Hybrid/Flexible Working Available

C2 Recruitment are exclusively working with a leading charity based in the Essex area to support with the recruitment of an HR Business Partner due to internal promotion.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HRBP to support this charity with their exciting people strategy.

The HRBP/HR Business Partner will report to the Director of People and Culture. The key focus of the role will be supporting the Retail directorate amongst others, to advise Directors, Service leads and line managers within designated business areas on all HR matters in accordance with policies, procedures, best practice, and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • To make a proactive contribution to resourcing, service development, business planning and the management of performance against agreed objectives for designated areas.
  • Support and coach management teams in improving their leadership and management competencies.
  • Review the skills, on boarding and training of the volunteer teams within designated directorates.
  • Manage own HR caseload as agreed and determined with the Director of People and Culture ensuring all deadlines and professional standards are met.
  • Assist with and contribute to strategic Organisational and Workforce planning initiatives.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the HR policies are fit for purpose and in line with current legislation.
  • Design and deliver training activities to support mandatory, organisational and staff's developmental needs.
  • To deputise for the Director in their absence or unavailability.
  • Support payroll and recruitment functions to ensure staff queries are responded too in a timely manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience ideally gained within a Hospice/NHS/Retail setting
  • Degree or demonstrable significant equivalent level of HR experience
  • CIPD qualified
  • Good knowledge of HR systems and processes
  • Experience of complex HR case work
  • Experience of producing policies to meet the needs of the organisation and that comply with legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience of organisational change in a complex environment
  • To be able to demonstrate continued professional development, keeping up to date with legislative and best practice changes
  • Ability to travel independently to Hospice sites as required.
