Our client has a number of stunning locations across the UK. With recent investment, the company has gone through significant growth over the past year and still has plans in place for even more growth. This is a great opportunity to join a business that really does put its people first and head up their beautiful hotel in Wells.

We're looking for an experienced General Manager or Deputy General Manager to manage this stunning market town hotel. A brand that is passionate about its people and creating an environment that sees their clients return time and time again, you will therefore be a people oriented manager. Driven to lead from the front, being visible and available to the team and clients. You will be experienced in not only managing people, but also managing multiple departments, as well as being responsible for overseeing P&L to ensure that he costs of the hotel are kept within budget.
As General Manager you will be responsible for:

  • People focused manager, who can motivate and retain top talent.
  • All operations of the hotel, day to day procedures, health and safety, cost etc.
  • Confident in all areas of people management, from recruiting and on boarding to disciplinary procedures.
  • Experienced in hotel management.
  • Financial control of the hotel: Experienced in P&L and sales and Labour budgeting.
  • Setting a high level of customer service to ensure all guest leave happy.
  • Drive sales performance to achieve company set targets.

As General Manager you will have:

  • A strong career within hospitality, preferably with hotels. You may be a GM looking for a new opportunity, or an experienced DGM looking for that step up.
  • Able to manage multiple workloads at once.
  • A team player, able to listen to all members in the business and take opinions and ideas on board to work collaboratively.
