This is an exciting opportunity for a current Director/Head of Sales and Marketing to truly make a mark on this growing business in the newly created position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Our client is looking for a motivated and passionate Director of Sales and Marketing who will be responsible for driving the sales and growth across all venues.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for exceeding revenue targets, booking and venue footfall targets through marketing and sales channels. You will lead the Sales & Marketing team and have full ownership of the marketing calendar, event sales activities, media spend, and commercial partnerships, as well as additional marketing and sales channels that you might introduce.

Key Responsibilities:
* Liaison with the venue teams to ensure they have the right amount and type of footfall to achieve their sales targets
* Liaison with the brand and experience team to ensure the brand is positioned optimally to support sales
* Proactively planning and implementing the marketing calendar to drive footfall throughout the year
* Leading the social and corporate events teams to maximise revenue and guest experience through proactive and inbound sales
* Managing and optimising paid media (paid social, search, programmatic etc)
* Leading a team focused on creating unique event and activation opportunities to maximise venue footfall during off-peak periods
* Stablishing commercial partnerships to drive incremental revenue
* Establishing a commercial sponsorship revenue stream
* Acting on data insights to optimise timing and pricing structures
* Working closely with key departments and building strong relationships across all areas

Skills and Experience:
* Highly passionate about Marketing, Sales and business growth
* Strong leadership skills - the ability to influence.
* 10+ years of marketing and / or sales success experience.
* Experience of sales and marketing with respect to the tourist trade would be advantageous.
* Record of collaborative working relationships - being a team player is key
* Sense of humour and capacity to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Comfortable dealing with board-level stakeholders on a regular basis.
* Results-oriented with a sense of urgency, and ability to deal with change.
