Hybrid: Homebased & Travel across Devon

Our client is a well-established charity. They now have an exciting opportunity to join them in the role of Devon Fundraising Manager. Reporting into the Head of Fundraising you will be responsible for your own area, working alongside a small team including the Wiltshire Fundraising Manager and the Senior Trusts and Grants Fundraiser, leading on and developing fundraising activities and a supporter base across Exeter and Devon.

This role will include building relationships with corporates, key community groups and running our third-party events alongside and a small portfolio of own events. You may have experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, business development and some experience in events planning. The role will include elements of public speaking and travel across the county so access to your own vehicle is essential.

Every year this charity supports over 6,000 adults and children in Devon who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and harassment. The aim is to break the cycle of abuse and this charity helps people rebuild their lives free from fear and abuse, not just until the next time but permanently.

Devon Fundraising Manager- Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow the income for the charity through fundraising (corporate, community, and some events.)
  • Research, plan and implement new fundraising initiatives - guided by the fundraising strategy and your own experience.
  • Recruit fundraisers and identify and manage all third-party events in Devon.
  • Build new relationships and maintain existing relationships with the wider Devon community.
  • Network and engage with corporate donors and encourage new donors to support and participate in fundraising activities/events.
  • Attend and manage stalls at community events.
  • Recruit and manage volunteer fundraisers.
  • Deliver community talks and corporate Lunch and Learns at networking opportunities.
  • Plan, organise and deliver fundraising events across Devon.
  • Manage and grow the income from collection pots and buckets through promotion of these in the community.
  • There will be an element of evening and weekend work as well as travel across Devon.
  • Full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle is essential.
