Our rapidly growing client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their award winning media production company. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the client base in the dynamic field of video production. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and developing innovative strategies to meet sales targets and drive company success.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in our specialist sectors (social housing, construction, education, online marketing).
  • Conduct market research to identify target markets, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build a robust sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, and prospecting.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our video production services and capabilities.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand professional networks and generate new business leads.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Conduct client needs assessments to understand their video production requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop customised video production solutions that meet their specific goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Proposal Development and Negotiation:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling and tailored proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and terms and conditions agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, production, and finance, to develop accurate project estimates and timelines.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track, measure, and report on sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management.
  • Utilise CRM software to manage sales pipelines, leads, and client interactions.

The ideal Candidate:

  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales role.
  • Strong network and connections within our specialist sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in Marketing.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.
  • In-depth understanding of video production processes, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Worked within an agency environment.
