Business Analyst - Hospitality / Leisure Operator

London (hybrid working)

Salary up to £75,000 + excellent benefits

Our client operates a growing portfolio of competitive socialising venues across the UK and they are looking to appoint a Business Analyst within their newly created Strategy & Insights team. We are looking for a passionate, innovative and collaborative individual who excels in communicating with stakeholders at all levels and across all business functions.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the creation and execution of a new Strategy Management System and analyse business operations and Gap analysis; crafting functional scorecards and OKR's and fostering a data-driven culture for strategic decision making.

Essential skills:

  • 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst within the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline. An MBA is advantageous.
  • Expertise in strategic planning and business analytics and comprehensive knowledge of business analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and overseeing OKRs and performance metrics.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, adept in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
  • Strong communication skills, excelling in the articulation of complex data findings.
  • Dynamic and cooperative, with a proven track record in versatile, team-oriented environments.
  • A background in high performing consulting team driven through data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive Strategy and Management System (SMS), incorporating functional scorecards and OKRs.
  • Lead cross-functional strategy groups using a balanced scorecard type methodology.
  • Perform thorough analysis of business operations, pinpointing areas for enhancement and formulating actionable strategies.
  • Spearhead the gathering, scrutiny, and interpretation of business data to unearth insights pivotal for strategic choices.
  • Guide the execution of detailed resource, process and technical Gap Analysis at both functional and organisational levels.
