Area Manager -Northeast, Cumbria and Yorks
Fantastic Opportunity to join a well-established charity retailer
Salary £30,000-£34,000 per annum dependant on experience + Car or Car Allowance plus benefits
My client is a well-established, dynamic charity retailer. They currently have an exciting opportunity to join them in the position of Area Manager to manage their stores based in the Northeast, Cumbria and Yorkshire. Store Locations include Doncaster, Matlock, Sheffield and Cockermouth.
This role reports into the Head of Retail and is an excellent opportunity to join a charity that really do care about their people. As the Area Manager your primary responsibility is to maximise income generation and ensure all targets are met and exceeded across the stores.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing shops to deliver year on year income uplifts, alongside embedding best practice, commercial KPIs, and the best possible supporter experiences.
- Work closely with Business Managers to recruit new Shop Managers.
- Line manage Shop Managers including Recruitment, Retention, Development and Performance Management in line with our values and processes.
- Work with the support of the Retail Volunteering and Communities Insights Manager to build volunteer numbers, ensuring volunteer development and training is delivered effectively.
- Inspiring teams with the charities retail vision, using best practice, and data and evidence to influence commercial decision making.
- Lead and develop Shop teams to ensure processes and standards are to the required standard.
Experience required:
- Previous Area Manager/Multi Site experience within charity or retail.
- Understanding and able to use Microsoft office/Sales Space Analysis/ read P&Ls/ understand Gift Aid performance
- Community Marketing - Promotion / social media / Relationship Building / Networking
- Knowledge and/or experience of Volunteer Management
- Energy, drive and a positive can-do attitude.
