RETAIL RECRUITMENT IN A NICHE SECTOR

RETAIL RECRUITMENT ISSUES

A national chain in a specific niche of the entertainment industry is struggling with their recruitment - backout rates after offer are high and staff retention rates are low. Ultimately inefficient recruitment is driving up costs to unsustainable levels.

Working with a number of agencies specialising in the hospitality sector the senior management team believe that their entertainment niche is not understood and agencies are not selecting candidates correctly.

WHAT WE DID

C2 were offered a trial working on 2 vacancies at one of their more rural locations in Shropshire near the C2 HQ. To meet recruitment budget needs a preferred supplier rate was agreed.

The C2 consultancy team have a genuine depth of retail experience across a diverse range of sectors. The roles were assigned to a consultant with personal experience in the specific entertainment niche.

SUCCESS

Using our extensive advertising and database network both positions were filled with experienced candidates in less than two weeks of the job specs being taken.

Impressed with our performance the C2 management team were invited down to the client's London HQ to take a brief on recruitment for the remainder of the current year and next. Because of the anticipated volume of recruitment a preferential PSL rate was agreed that will help the client manage their recruitment costs.

COMMENTS

The hospitality and leisure sector is diverse and although many agencies 'specialise' certain niches can still be difficult to understand. Ultimately understanding the role from both the client and candidate perspectives is essential to knowing if and when certain transferable skills will work.

At C2 Retail Recruitment we're as passionate about retail as you, so we go out of our way to understand your business. We want to understand the unique combination of skills and attitudes your people need to succeed.
