Management couple required for busy pub to Include Bar Management & Chef

Our established and desirable clients are currently recruiting for a very unique opportunity that is not to be missed! We are looking for an energetic couple to manage our beautiful country pub restaurant. Situated in beautiful countryside not far from the busy towns of Welshpool and Newtown this country Pub/Restaurant is located on the award winning Gwernydd Hall 5* caravan Park. Accommodation is provided as part of the package and employee benefits that you would expect to find working for a multi award winning company.

This privately run pub and restaurant relies on repeat business which has been built up over the years by our present Managers who are retiring and thrives on the local customers as well as the caravan owners. With an open fire and a seating for 100+ people it really has a lot of potential.

Your role would be to run and manage a local pub and restaurant in an exceptional.

This is a lifestyle position with an opportunity to put your own stamp on it!

Your responsibilities would be to manage the restaurant and bar, the skills required are a bubbly, happy personality to make sure customers have a great experience. Flexibility in hours worked to ensure all aspects of the establishment is running smoothly. A knowledge of catering, service, hygiene, and kitchen management is advantageous. Stock control, cellar work and ordering. Customer service skills are essential to serve clients from all walks of life, and generations. General IT knowledge, training is given for specific knowledge required for the Pub.

Salary is negotiable according to qualifications and or experience, with accommodation as this is a live-in position, company pension, & staff discounts.

Being a Pub and Restaurant Manager is demanding but our customers make it much more than just a job. Brimming with energy and ideas, you'll add touches of your personality to our pub and think of new ways to delight and excite our customers. You'll thrive off growing the business and have a 'lead from the front' mentality and passion for nurturing your team.

As well as detailed above the main responsibilities and duties include:

  • Hold a personal licence to sell alcohol
  • Food Hygiene to level 2/3
  • Have a proven track record of being able to cook and produce your own menu
  • Care about finding, growing, and engaging your team.
  • Be accountable for running all aspects of your pub.
  • Be passionate about doing the right thing for your staff and your customers.
  • Dream big and think differently about new ways to increase sales and growth through food and alcohol sales
  • Celebrate and create a buzz by sharing enjoyable experiences.
  • Be answerable to the General Manager but equally treating the pub as their own.
  • Creating Weekly accounts
