Are you an experienced HR Assistant, HR Officer or Senior HR Administrator looking for an exciting new challenge?

An exceptional opportunity to join a leading multi-channel retailer in the position of HR Officer as arisen. This company is rich in history and are looking for a motivated, driven and really enthusiastic individual to join the HR team in the role of HR Officer.

The HR officers within this retail business are the first point of contact for all HR related and payroll enquiries across all UK and Ireland business units and stores.


You will provide first line support for all employees across all functions, advising on employment law, collective agreements, HR procedures and first line payroll issues.


Also providing a high quality administrative support in various HR domains.

Key responsibilities:

  • First line support for all Employee Relations and case management utilising employment law knowledge
  • Assist all employees and managers on a daily basis with all enquiries and HR procedures and payroll.
  • Keeping all HR Trackers, weekly reports and organisation charts up to date,
  • Assisting with the development of internal processes and procedures and providing input to ensure optimal HR service in response levels to the organisation.
  • Delivery of KPI's to the HR Business Partners/HR Shared Service Manager and outwardly to the business when required
  • All administration for contracts and offers of employment, warning letters, role changes, merit increases, coordination of benefits in kind through the correct documents and processes before on boarding of employees.
  • Processing/ administration of employees starting/leaving long service awards.
  • Induction/on boarding of new employees on starting day, maintaining the employee files and data entry, keeping legal aspects up to date (work permits, internal rules, policies etc.)


Experience Required:

  • Ideally qualified to Level 5 CIPD
  • Proven HR experience, preferably as HR assistant/HR officer
  • Significant operational experience in HR administration
  • Knowledge of UK employment law
  • Ambitious and driven with a passion for retail and HR
