We are currently recruiting for a UK leading charitable organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Head of Retail and Trading to join the retail team.

Currently operating 100+ stores across the UK, the Head of Retail will be instrumental in driving the performance of the store portfolio forward. Reporting into the Director of Income Generation you will understand the true importance of creating a profitable retail estate that can support the charity with its strategy.

Responsibilities of the Head of Retail and Trading:

• Drive the delivery of the new retail strategy, providing strategic direction and leadership for the Retail and Trading operation and significantly increasing online trading operations.
• You will increase the profitability of the retail chain, through the implementation of final stages of consolidation plan and ongoing efficiency targets and ensure that the 'added value' opportunities afforded through the retail presence are exploited through innovation and cross organizational working, including heightened brand awareness, cross selling of other Income generation projects and key organisational messages.

The person- Head of Retail and Trading:

• You will have gained substantial experience within the retail sector particularly Fashion retail and charity retailing at a senior leadership level.
• Commercially minded and focused.
• Experience of managing a diverse and dispersed team.
• Experience of managing a budget and stock control and working to targets.
• A strategic thinker with strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of people.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work on own initiative, accurately and under pressure.
• Good organisational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility, adaptability, capable of using initiative, tact and discretion.
