HOURS: 40 Hours Per week 5 days a week to include one alternate weekend day. NO EVENINGS!

We are currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to run the kitchen of this casual, but fast paced restaurant operation.

Our client is an established and successful operation, the garden centre was originally created within the walls of a large Victorian kitchen garden belonging to Cold Overton Hall. Still on the same site today, the centre has expanded considerably over the years, but still retains its traditional family values of excellent customer service coupled with great value for money.

This beautiful venue is so much more than a garden centre and is often referred to as a rural department store. On a weekend, The Garden Restaurant does on average 900 covers per day; and is open from 9AM - 4.30PM, NO evenings required. Our client prides themselves for having a high standard for food for a good price.

Key Responsibilities:

· To manage a team of 8 chefs and kitchen staff across the day-to-day kitchen operation
· Leading a team forward to succeed and work collaboratively
· Working alongside the Restaurant Manager and reporting into the Catering Manager
· Service and delivering great food

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

· Must have previous experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant
· Must be able to manage a kitchen service confidently and professionally
· Must be able to remain calm and focused, ensuring every dish is high quality
· A team player with drive and ambition to succeed with us
