Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead one of their most historic pubs in the picturesque county of Suffolk. If you're ready to showcase your culinary artistry and elevate our pub's dining experience to new heights, we invite you to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and kitchen staff management.
  • Manage and optimise food and labour costs while maintaining a focus on exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, sanitation regulations, and food quality guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and served to the right standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen management role, preferably in a pub or restaurant setting.
  • Proficiency in culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse kitchen staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, using locally sourced and fresh ingredients.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities to handle a busy kitchen environment effectively.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
