My Client offers a great opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-moving and ever-changing events and hospitality industry. With no two days the same they are looking for a Food and Beverage manager with responsibility for Food and Beverage service in a newly refurbished bar, a growing restaurant and a very busy conference department, you will develop and implement a business plan with a clear vision to deliver consistently high levels of service and quality whilst maintaining financial control. You will work closely with the wider hotel management team in continuously reviewing the Food and Beverage offer to include innovative promotions.

Leading a team which includes a Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and Food and Beverage Assistants, you will ensure teams are effectively recruited and trained to deliver exceptional service to our guests. A flexible approach to work is essential as you will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekend and Bank Holidays in line with business needs.

The Candidate

This role will appeal to someone who has great experience in a hotel or restaurant environment with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams. You will have a very strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and will have solid working knowledge of all operational aspects of the department including bar, restaurant and conference facilities. Being people orientated, you will be able to develop succession plans and ensure all your team members reach or exceed their potential.

A food hygiene qualification and a good understanding of Profit and Loss/cost control in a similar environment is essential, as is a level of IT proficiency with Microsoft software packages. Personal License is desirable but not essential.
