An established retail brand specialising in high quality soft furnishings is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Curtain Maker to join their team in Coventry.

All orders are bespoke made to measure using high-end designer fabrics and therefore we are looking for someone who is skilled, meticulous to detail and most importantly takes pride in their workmanship. This role is not just limited to curtains; the client also manufactures roman blinds, pelmets, cushions and various other made to measure soft furnishings.

Essential Key Skills

• 1+ year(s) experience in making made to measure soft furnishings, including Roman Blinds, pelmets and valances
• 1+ years(s) experience using industrial sewing machines, including overlocker & blind hemmer machines
• Knowledge of curtain heading types
• Making both lined & interlined curtains
• Calculating pattern repeats to minimize fabric wastage
• Knowledge of cutting fabrics
• Ability to work within a team

Preferable Key Skills

• 3+ years' experience in making made to measure soft furnishings
• Understanding blind safety in relation to Roman blinds
• Can bring own ideas and experience to add value to our existing team
• Organising workload to adhere to customer deadlines
